What You’ll Do

• Lead the ward team in the absence of the Senior Charge Nurse, ensuring safe and effective patient care.
• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care and support patients, families and carers through complex or sensitive situations.
• Coordinate staffing, workload and resources to maintain safe service delivery.
• Support staff development through supervision, teaching, mentorship and appraisal.
• Drive quality improvement through clinical audit, research activity and best‑practice implementation.
• Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and external partners to ensure coordinated care.

• NMC‑registered nurse with substantial post‑registration experience.
• Confident in delivering advanced clinical care and supporting others to do the same.
• Strong communicator with the ability to lead, motivate and guide a team.
• Skilled in managing challenging situations, prioritising workload and making autonomous decisions.
• Committed to professional development, evidence‑based practice and high standards of patient care.
