The post holder will support the day-to-day running of the TB Service and ensuring that patients
recovering from TB, and that they receive the highest standard of care. They will work part of a
multidisciplinary team, and case manage both adults and children. As a nursing expert the post holder
will demonstrate a high level of expertise in TB, providing advice, education and support to team
members, patients and their families. The post holder will support clinical audit activity, contribute/
support COHORT REVIEW and whole genome sequencing investigations.
The post holder is responsible for contributing to the ongoing development of clinical practice,
standards of care within the service including the development of policies, procedures, protocols and
guidelines. They will support and undertake service developments in collaboration with the Lead Nurse
and multidisciplinary colleagues. The post holder is accountable for their safe, effective clinical practice
and working as part of a defined team and supporting performance, ensuring efficient and effective
use of physical and human resources.
Role includes nurse-led clinics for contact tracing, managing incidents / outbreaks, at various
community settings. This is primarily a community role. The post holder will work with multi-agencies, An exciting opportunity has risen for a Nurse to join the Birmingham & Solihull Community Service. The team provide case managment for those affected by TB, and manage incidents and outbreaks.
The specified person will also carry out nurse-led screening and BCG clinics. Caseload will include adults and children. Therfore, paediatric nurses are welcome to apply. Full training and mentorship will be provided.
