Priory Hospital Barnt Green has an opportunity for a Mental Health Nurse
- Nights to join our team on the PICU ward. This role is not open to Newly qualified nurses.
Priory Hospital Barnt Green, Barnt Green, Birmingham is a purpose-built hospital providing mental health support for adults and young people, including specialist therapy and psychiatry, as well as private autism assessments for adults. It is accessible by public transport, with Barnt Green railway station approximately 1–2 miles from the hospital and local bus routes serving the surrounding area. Due to the semi-rural location of the service, access to a vehicle or the ability to drive is recommended.

Responsible for delivering high-quality, person-centred nursing care to patients, working collaboratively with patients, families and the wider multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, deliver and evaluate care.
This includes monitoring and reviewing care plans, responding effectively to changes in patients’ needs, managing and prioritising nursing duties, delegating appropriately and acting as nurse in charge when required. The role also involves maintaining professional standards, supporting newly qualified staff through preceptorship, participating in clinical supervision and reflective practice, and ensuring compliance with safeguarding, Mental Capacity Act, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, Medicines Management, Priory Group policies and the NMC Code.

- Qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), with 6-12 months post registration experience with active NMC Registration and completed preceptorship programme.
