Reporting faults and heating/cooling concerns promptly. Minimising unnecessary travel. Considering the environmental impact of purchases where the role includes ordering or using supplies and equipment. Liaise with parents and carers, on behalf of the College Nurse or other professionals, by telephone, providing support and information relating to health issues.
Observe a personal duty of care towards equipment and resources. Take reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and other persons who may be affected by your acts or omissions at work, and co-operate with Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust in adhering to statutory and local health and safety regulations. Ensure accurate, timely, and effective communication with the College Nurse when receiving workload instructions and when reporting information about students.
Take appropriate action when concerns are identified, including safeguarding issues, reporting these to the College Nurse and other relevant professionals, and accurately recording all issues and actions taken. Comply with:
Trust policies and procedures. Health and Safety Regulations. Fire Safety Regulations. Undertake other duties commensurate with the grade of the post, as agreed with the relevant Line Manager. Minimise the Trust's environmental impact wherever possible, including:
