We are seeking an exceptional safeguarding leader to join us as Associate Director of Nursing for Safeguarding Adults.

The role is critical in strengthening our culture of safety, learning and accountability, ensuring that every person we serve especially the most vulnerable is protected, heard and supported. The Role

As Associate Director of Nursing – Safeguarding, you will:

  • Provide expert leadership and oversight for safeguarding across the Trust
  • Ensure robust safeguarding systems, policies and governance are in place and effective
  • Lead on serious incident reviews, learning and assurance
  • Work in partnership with local authorities, ICBs, police and system partners
  • Support staff to feel confident in recognising, escalating and managing safeguarding concerns
  • Embed a culture where speaking up is safe and expected

You will play a key role in ensuring safeguarding is not just compliant but compassionate, proactive and embedded in everyday practice.

Starting with NELFT

NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes.

The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
