Due to continued business growth and team development, we are strengthening our Health & Safety expertise to ensure full compliance with all legal and statutory requirements.

• Support the risk assessment process and consider how risks could be reduced
• Carry out FRA for all Depots
• Outline safe operational procedures which identify and consider all relevant hazards
• Review depot inspections/audits in MYC to check policies and procedures are properly implemented
• Review the actions produced from MYC to ensure completion
• Ensure working practices are safe and comply with legislation
• Lead in‑house training with managers and employees on health and safety issues and risks
• Keep records of inspection findings and produce reports that suggest improvements
• Review incidents and accidents in MYC and produce statistics for managers
• Advise on a range of specialist areas – e.g. fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise, and occupational diseases
• Produce schedules for the facilities team
• Review the schedule for legal and statutory compliance

• NEBOSH General Certificate
• Tech IOSH as a minimum

• General health and safety knowledge to promote a positive culture in the workplace
• Experience in the food and drink sector
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills to explain health and safety processes and to give presentations to groups
• Negotiating skills to convince managers of the need to implement and maintain safety standards that may compromise speed or efficiency
• Patience and diplomacy demonstrating a collaborative approach
• The ability to understand and analyse complex information and present it simply and accurately
• A flexible approach to work
• An interest in the law and the ability to understand regulations
• Full driving licence – essential for travel between sites
