Birmingham Children's Trust is currently seeking an experienced Quality Assurance and Improvement Officer to support their dynamic Team
.

Location

One Avenue Road, Aston, Birmingham

Pay Rate

£33.00 per hour (Umbrella)

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead quality assurance activities, including case audits, practice reviews, and thematic audits to drive service improvement.
  • Monitor compliance with statutory guidance, legislation, and local authority policies, ensuring high standards of practice.
  • Identify trends, strengths, and areas for development, producing reports and recommendations to improve outcomes for children and families.
  • Support managers and practitioners through feedback, coaching, and the promotion of best practice.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and performance.
  • Analyse performance data and quality assurance findings to inform strategic planning and continuous improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with operational teams and multi-agency partners to embed learning and improve safeguarding practice.
  • Contribute to the preparation for Ofsted inspections and ensure services meet regulatory standards and expectations.
  • Promote reflective practice, learning from audits, complaints, compliments, and safeguarding reviews.
  • Ensure children's voices, lived experiences, and outcomes remain central to all quality assurance and service improvement activities.
Essential Requirements
  • Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
  • At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
  • Social Work England Registration
  • Driving license and access to own vehicle
