Major Recruitment Oldbury are delighted to be recruiting for our growing Sutton Coldfield client who are seeking an ambitious Quality Engineer to join their manufacturing business. Our client are investing heavily in new equipment, tools, technology, and expanding our in‑house capabilities, making this an exciting opportunity to join a company with ambitious plans for the future.
Responsibilities- Maintain, improve, and manage the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.
- Plan and conduct internal audits and support external certification audits.
- Manage quality documentation, compliance requirements, and quality performance metrics.
- Lead investigations into internal and external quality issues, implementing effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Work closely with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve quality concerns and drive continuous improvement.
- Perform inspections using shadow graphs, gauges, micrometers, calipers, and other inspection equipment.
- Develop and improve quality control processes and inspection methods.
- Support supplier quality management and customer quality requirements.
- Contribute to wider business improvement initiatives and provide support across departments as required.
- Help foster a culture of accountability, quality, and continuous improvement throughout the organisation.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a quality engineering or quality assurance role within manufacturing or machining.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and experience maintaining certified quality systems.
- Experience conducting audits and managing quality documentation.
- Proficiency with standard inspection equipment and quality tools.
- Strong problem‑solving, communication, and organisational skills.
- Self‑motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working independently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Willingness to take ownership, embrace variety, and contribute beyond the traditional boundaries of a quality role.
