Overview
Our client is an international aerospace company working in the defence sector. They have an opportunity for an experienced Quality Management Specialist to join on a contract basis. The role supports the Engineering Function to assist existing aircraft programs.
The E-7 On-Site Quality Assurance Engineer will be part of the Aircraft Programme Quality team, working within the Fixed Wing area. The role reports to the Fixed Wing Quality Manager and takes day-to-day tasking from the on-site E-7 Quality Manager. Responsibilities include QA inspections, MRB and design oversight during the major modification program, providing QA oversight of the on-site ASC2 design teams to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance.
The role also includes monitoring and providing support to the contracted Part 145 maintenance organisation and supporting Part M oversight where required.

The position requires the ability to obtain a UK SC; UK Citizenship is required by the Government.
- Participate in quality reviews of proposals, contracts, regulatory, program and customer requirements to develop quality assurance strategies, plans and tests for hardware and software products, processes and services, ensuring early quality involvement in program development.
- Develop quality cost estimates based on Statements of Work (SOW) assigned.
- Develop and implement processes for determining, verifying and meeting customer SOW requirements, including:
- Verification of product conformity to design
- Verification of compliance to customers' requirements
- Participate in maintaining processes, procedures and metrics to assure program, contract, customer and regulatory requirements are adhered to, including:
- Validation of work instructions, tooling requirements, certifications, process standards, policies and procedures
- Identification and documentation of discrepancies, segregation and control of non-conforming items to prevent unintended use or delivery
- Verification of compliance to regulatory requirements
- Identifying opportunities for corrective action during product or process verification
- Perform auditing, surveillance and monitoring against the approved audit plan; identify and document discrepancies and manage corrective actions to completion.
- Segregation and control of non-conforming items; preliminary review and disposition of non-conformance.
- Identify repetitive or significant non-conformances and initiate requests for corrective action.
- Conduct product reviews with customers during product or process verification.
- Participate with stakeholders in the analysis of unfavorable process data, customer complaints and metric results; formulate mitigation plans using closed-loop preventive/corrective action processes.
- Represent Quality in design reviews with regard to routine verification of product conformance to design requirements, providing objective evidence of results.
- Perform benchmarking and other analyses to ensure specified process capability levels are achieved.
- Preferably degree-qualified or equivalent, but not essential
- Solid working knowledge of MAA/CAA/EASA (Part 145/Part M/Part 21)
- Experience with Data Analytics
- Familiarity with Boeing processes and procedures is beneficial
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
