About the Role

Are you a meticulous Quality Inspector looking to take the next step in your engineering career?

We are a well-established, industry-leading UK manufacturer of precision components. We are seeking a dedicated Quality Inspector to join our busy quality department.

If you have a strong background in mechanical inspection using traditional measuring equipment, we want to hear from you. While previous CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) experience is a bonus, it is not essential—full training on our CMM equipment will be provided for the right candidate!

Key Responsibilities

* Perform first-off, in-process, and final inspection of precision-machined components.

* Use a wide range of hand-held measuring tools (micrometers, verniers, height gauges, bore gauges, plug/thread gauges).

* Read and accurately interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and geometric tolerances (GD&T).

* Identify, document, and quarantine non-conforming parts, raising Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) when necessary.

* Assist in maintaining quality documentation and batch traceability records.

* Learn and operate CMM equipment (training provided).

Proven track record in a mechanical inspection or quality control role within a manufacturing or precision engineering environment.

Confident reading engineering drawings and using standard manual measuring equipment.

* Mindset: A proactive team player eager to learn new skills and software, including CMM operation.
