About the Team

Our Building Consultancy team provides technical advice and construction expertise across every stage of the building lifecycle, covering building surveying, dilapidations, schedules of condition, due diligence, project management, and expert witness work. We advise occupiers, investors, financiers, and developers on building performance, cost in use, future flexibility, and compliance.

Based in our Birmingham office, the team sits within Newmark's wider UK and global platform, giving graduates exposure to a broad range of clients and property types across the Midlands and beyond.

Programme Overview

Newmark’s 2-year graduate real estate programme is the perfect way to kickstart your career in Building Consultancy. You’ll gain hands‑on experience across multiple disciplined teams, work with senior professionals, and develop the skills and competencies needed to achieve your MRICS qualification through the 2-year cognate APC route.

Why Join Newmark?
  • Structured, mentored path to qualification
    - You'll work towards your APC qualification with dedicated mentors, and hands‑on learning experiences designed to build technical capability from day one.
  • Real responsibility, not just training
    - The programme is built around projects that challenge and inspire, with the autonomy to take initiative and the accountability to own your work - paired with regular 1:1 check‑ins so you're never navigating it alone.
  • Global platform, local grounding
    - Based in our Birmingham office, you'll be part of Newmark's Building Consultancy team with on-the-ground knowledge of the Midlands' built environment and property market.
  • Growing Building Consultancy platform
    - Newmark's Building Consultancy team continues to expand alongside the firm's wider UK growth, so joining now means growing with the team and our Early Careers cohort.
