As a Sales Assistant you’ll be supporting your store team with driving sales performance and the day‑day running of your store. You’ll deliver exceptional customer service and experience to optimise KPI performance.
Key Responsibilities- Be an ambassador for the store, supporting the team to deliver an outstanding shopping experience for every customer.
- Drive store performance by maximising sales opportunities and focusing on KPI delivery.
- Deliver exceptional market‑leading customer service to drive business growth through customer loyalty and repeat purchases.
- Provide VIP concierge service, actively contacting customers with updates on products and tastings.
- Sell the story rather than the discount, sharing your passion for product through in‑depth knowledge of the range.
- Take ownership of your wine knowledge, learning continuously to support your WSET qualification and confidence in selling.
- Take accountability and pride for the physical appearance and maintenance of the store, both internally and externally.
- Perform all operational tasks required for the day‑day running of a Majestic Wine store – from delivering wine to customers and merchandising stock deliveries, to calling customers to drive sales opportunities.
- Identify opportunities to improve the operational running of the store and share ideas with the wider team.
- Remain fully compliant, safe and legal by following internal policies, processes and completing mandatory training.
- Set an example of Majestic’s Ways of Working and support junior team members, providing feedback to the Store Manager as appropriate.
- As a key holder understand the opening and closing compliance and be able to operate the store without your management team.
- Excellent time‑management, delegation and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to deliver an exceptional customer experience and service to every single customer.
- Self‑motivated, able to thrive when working alone and as part of a team.
- Can‑do attitude with a passion for seeing problems through to solutions.
- Adaptable and resilient to meet the ever‑changing demands of the business.
- Excellent communication and time‑management skills.
- Wine knowledge is beneficial; passion to learn is essential to pass level 2 WSET qualification.
- Hold a full UK, manual transmission driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.

Permanent. - Hours:
16 hours per week (must be able to work evenings and weekends). - Driving is a key part of this position; a full UK manual driver’s licence (held for at least 12 months) is required.
- Salary: £10,574.72.
