Are you an experienced travel Operations Manager? A small and friendly team based in North Hampshire are looking for an Operations Manager. You will be involved in all aspects of selling tours, from lead generation through booking to tour organization, with admin and marketing support. The success of our tours is in your hands. Job
  • Converting web-driven, email and phone enquiries into bookings
  • Sourcing, creating and booking travel itineraries
  • Managing and administering group and individual bookings through to holiday completion
  • Maintaining customer contact from initial enquiry to holiday completion and beyond
  • Working closely with our overseas partners
  • Managing our portfolio of tours
  • Representing the company at shows and events in the UK
  • Controlling mountains of paperwork
  • Managing and administering tour bookings from initial enquiry through to a customer returning home
  • Making travel arrangements as requested by customers
  • Assisting with designing self guided tours
  • Supporting the Sales Manager to grow sales
  • Building strong customer relationships and long-term loyalty
  • Liaising with the Travel Trust Association, trustees, UK tour operators, travel agents, and overseas suppliers
  • Ensuring correct invoices are received and processed for all company business
  • Assisting with general office administration as part of a small, close-knit team
Experience Required
  • In-depth knowledge of the long-haul market
  • Extensive travel industry experience
  • Direct customer sales and relationship building
  • Organising group travel

  • Proven record of converting leads into bookings
  • Proven travel management experience
  • Experience working for a tour operator
  • Creating tailormade itineraries

The Package
  • £27,000-£30,000
  • This role is fully office based in North Hampshire Tuesday - Saturday
