Summary
ZEISS is a technology and innovation enterprise founded in Germany in 1846, operating across 50 countries in optics and optoelectronics. We are looking for an Account Manager – Lens Care, UK Grocery Channel to join our Birmingham office with regular travel to key UK grocery customers and ZEISS stakeholders.
RoleThe purpose of this role is to scale ZEISS Lens Care within the UK Grocery Channel by significantly growing business with 11 major grocery accounts and winning new distribution in up to 55 additional target retailers, delivering compelling commercial proposals that meet both retailer and ZEISS financial and consumer objectives.
- Significantly grow business with 11 major UK grocery accounts by understanding their ambitions and building customer‑centric proposals with compelling financials and consumer insight.
- Model financial growth and investment plans in spreadsheets to achieve revenue and profit targets attractive to retailers and internal stakeholders.
- Assertively lead cross‑functional teams (local marketing, finance, supply chain, global lens care) to ensure activation plans go live on time and in full.
- Maintain and develop a strong network of contacts in existing and target grocery accounts to build insight, improve influence and help ZEISS grow and win new business.
- Work with marketing to develop creative contact strategies and campaigns that secure meetings and engagement with key contacts at target retailers.
- Evolve and sharpen the current new business concept sell to maximize influence, secure distribution wins and support ZEISS’s 2030 growth ambition in lens care.
- Proven experience developing business with a minimum of 2 UK grocery retailers.
- Demonstrable track record of winning new accounts and/or new business within the UK grocery channel or similar FMCG/consumer environment.
- Strong ability to create professional, “smart‑look” customer presentations and to model commercial scenarios and financials in spreadsheets.
- A valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel to customers and ZEISS offices as required.

Location & working conditions:
Office‑based in Birmingham, within the ZEISS Vision Care UK Commercial team. Permanent, full‑time contract, 37.5–37.5 hours per week. Reporting line:
Associate Director – KAM Channel. Regular travel to UK grocery customers and relevant ZEISS locations as required.
Salary information:
