£32,400 - £37,400 per annum + Car/Allowance & Bonus

We are currently seeking a driven, enthusiastic, and relationship‑focused National Account Executive to join our growing Contract Catering team.

Our client is a market‑leading, customer‑centric catering equipment and commercial kitchen solutions business. They specialise in supporting the contract catering industry, helping major catering operators optimise their kitchens, realise equipment assets, and maintain seamless operations through structured purchasing frameworks.

The Role

In this dynamic, field‑based position, you will work hand‑in‑hand with a National Account Manager to support a defined portfolio of key customer client groups. You will take direct responsibility for a specific vertical within the contract catering sector, managing site‑level retention, uncovering GAP analysis opportunities, and driving profitability.

A central focus of this role is high visibility. You will be expected to be highly mobile, traveling extensively across the UK to carry out a minimum of 6 customer‑facing meetings per week. You will get on‑site, engage directly with operational teams, and understand the unique kitchen and equipment demands of each location.

Key Responsibilities
  • Relationship & Growth:
    Work alongside the National Account Manager to manage, retain, and expand business within existing contract catering accounts.
  • Site Engagement:
    Travel across the UK to meet on‑site operational teams, understanding their direct equipment needs and uncovering hidden revenue opportunities.
  • Sales Execution:
    Conduct a minimum of 6 face‑to‑face customer meetings weekly, establishing clear objectives to drive asset replacements, contract conversions, and remedial works.
  • Business Reviews:
    Support and conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with key accounts, collaborating on joint business plans focused on mutual growth.
  • Cross‑functional

    Collaboration:

    Partner internally with our technical, contracts, project, and equipment teams to ensure seamless delivery and exceptional customer service.
About You

We are looking for someone who is eager to learn and has an appetite for personal development. While an external sales background is a plus, your attitude, drive, and ability to absorb new information quickly are what matter most.

You'll ideally have:
  • Relationship Builder:
    Proven customer‑facing experience with a natural ability to build long‑term, trust‑based relationships with multiple stakeholders.
  • Highly Mobile: A full UK driving licence (with no more than 3 points) and a genuine willingness to travel extensively to various multi‑site operations.
  • Commercially Minded:
    Good numerical skills with the ability to quickly learn financial concepts, margins, and commercial business plans.
  • Driven & Proactive: A self‑starter with a sense of urgency, strong organizational skills, and a methodical approach to managing your own diary and workload.
  • Communication

    Skills:

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to handle challenging or uncomfortable conversations calmly.
  • IT Literate:
    Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
