Technical Sales Manager

Technical Sales Manager / Sales Manager / Business Development Manager required to join a renowned manufacturer of metrology, measurement and inspection equipment. The Technical Sales Manager / Sales Manager / Business Development Manager will lead the commercial growth of vision systems, optical measurement equipment and precision measurement solutions across the UK. The successful Technical Sales Manager / Sales Manager / Business Development Manager will ideally have experience selling metrology equipment, measurement and inspection equipment, precision tools, work holding equipment, machine tools and accessories, machining products, cutting tools, engineering tools or precision engineering products.

Package Competitive salary depending on experience Commission scheme 5% pension 36 days holiday Private healthcare Technical Sales Manager / Sales Manager / Business Development Manager Role Lead the commercial growth of vision systems, optical measurement equipment, inspection equipment and precision measurement solutions across the UK. Manage the commercial performance of the metrology and optical product range, including sales, revenue, profitability and annual budget targets.

Lead and develop a small specialist team, including two direct reports. Provide specialist technical support, product demonstrations, quotations and product selection guidance to customers, OEMs, distributors and the wider Sales team. Develop relationships and identify opportunities across metrology, machine tools, work holding, machining products, cutting tools and precision engineering markets. Monitor customer requirements, competitor activity and emerging technologies, working with Product Development, Marketing and Service to improve products, technical content and customer support.

Deliver technical training covering metrology applications, calibration, software configuration, troubleshooting and diagnostics, across the UK. Technical Sales Manager / Sales Manager / Business Development Manager Requirements Proven experience as a Technical Sales Manager, Metrology Sales Manager, Sales Engineer, Business Development Manager, Product Manager or similar. Experience selling or supporting metrology systems, optical measurement systems, measurement equipment or inspection equipment.

Experience with precision tools, work holding equipment, machine tools and accessories, machining products, cutting tools, engineering tools or precision engineering products would also be beneficial. Strong technical and commercial skills, with the ability to understand customer requirements and recommend suitable measurement and inspection solutions. Experience working with UK customers, OEMs or distributors, ideally while managing sales, revenue or profitability targets. Confident presenting technical products, delivering training and collaborating with Sales, Product Development, Marketing and Service teams.
