Business Development Executive

Job Purpose Our client is looking for an energetic, commercially-minded Business Development Executive to represent their award-winning waste and recycling brand across the east midlands. Key Responsibilities:

Be the face of our client in your local patch, identifying and converting new business opportunities Promote their total waste solutions, including specialist compaction services Carry out around 10 quality site visits a day, building trusted relationships with commercial clients Structure your own working week while delivering outstanding results Hold a weekly one-to-one meeting with the Head of Sales (Waste) to review progress and strategy Participate in monthly sales meetings to share best practice and stay aligned with company goals Ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new customers Collaborate with internal teams to deliver the best service for your clients PERSON SPECIFICATION Previous experience in sales, business development, or customer-facing B2B roles Confident, bubbly, and persuasive personality – people should love talking to you Strong resilience and tenacity – you’ll thrive on chasing down leads and closing deals Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills Ability to work independently and manage your own time effectively Full UK Driving Licence Ideally based in or around Chesterfield, with a good knowledge of the local area
