As a cyber mission specialist, you will help identify gaps in security controls and evaluate risks for national space assets. You will review administrative and technical cybersecurity controls, map potential vulnerabilities to real‑world threats, and inform senior leadership of risk at mission and agency levels. This role supports operations plans for space missions.

• Identify gaps in the application of key security controls.
• Assess risk to mission‑critical systems and space assets.
• Review administrative and technical cybersecurity controls.
• Map vulnerabilities to real‑world threats.
• Prepare briefings for senior leadership on risks and adversarial tactics.
• Contribute to development of operations plans for space missions.

• 2+ years of experience in Security Control Assessments.
• Knowledge of NIST 800‑53 or 800‑30 standards.
• Ability to handle a high volume of assessments, including program‑scale operations.
• Effective communication of complex security concepts to various stakeholders.
• Travel up to 20% of the time.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree.

• Experience with cloud platforms, including Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience with Linux systems.
• Experience assessing non‑traditional IT systems, including in a program‑scale context.
• Ability to apply security measures across a range of IT systems.
• Experience managing a rotating schedule of assessments.
• Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
