Night Time Economy Officer (Temporary Role)

Location: Birmingham City Council House, Victoria Square, B1 1BB

Pay Rate: £14.50 per hour

Hours: 12 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Friday & Saturday, 9:00 PM – 3:00 AM

We are seeking a reliable and proactive individual to join our Night Time Economy team in Birmingham city centre on a temporary basis. This role plays a key part in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment within busy nightlife areas.

• Patrol designated night-time economy areas, providing reassurance and a visible presence
• Offer support and assistance to members of the public when required
• Work closely with emergency services, providing support when needed
• Liaise with licensed venues to monitor activity and identify any emerging issues
• Gather and share intelligence on trends or concerns within the local area
• Promote a safe, respectful, and enjoyable night-time environment

• Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence (essential)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
• Awareness of public safety and community engagement
• Previous experience in security, community safety, or similar roles is desirable but not essential

• Competitive hourly pay of £14.50
