We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Security Officer to safeguard a prominent facility in Birmingham. Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor are essential. The successful candidate will conduct s, respond to emergencies, provide information to staff and visitors, maintain a clean and professional environment, and ensure a high level of security.

Role:
Security Officer – Pay Rate: £15.00 per hour – Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off days and nights, 12‑hour shifts – Location:
Birmingham, B3 3AX

Door Supervisor and CCTV SIA licence.

• Act as a point of contact and information centre to staff and visitors
• Always conduct yourself in a professional manner
• Ensure all instructions, both written and verbal, are adhered to
• Guard access points, permitting or refusing entry, restraining trespassers
• Conduct foot patrols within defined areas as an effective deterrent in the protection of the client’s property and assets
• Investigate and take appropriate lawful action as authorized by the corporate policy on accidents, incidents, trespassing, suspicious activities, safety and fire incidents
• Complete daily reports, including relevant information, observations, surveillance footage, and signatures
• Communicate effectively at all levels – verbally, written, phone and via security radios
• Operate relevant pass systems
• Conduct lawful searches of vehicles and persons in accordance with instructions issued
• Apply practical working knowledge of all current firefighting equipment
• Have sound knowledge of health and safety instructions pertaining to assigned duties
• Operate basic switchboard equipment effectively

• Valid SIA licence
• CCTV licence
• Minimum 2 years proven work experience as a Security Officer
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• High level of self‑presentation
• IT literate – ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment
• Quick thinking and problem‑solving skills
• Positive attitude toward dealing with people and taking on challenges
