United Kingdom Equans is looking for a Security Officer to join our team in Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, B15 2WB
on a permanent basis. This is a full time position working 42 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £30,169.00 per year and benefits package.

Shift Pattern: 12hrs shift. 2 days 07:00-19:00hrs - 2 nights 19:00-07:00hrs, 4 days off.

What you will deliver

As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment within the hospital premises. You will patrol designated areas, monitor surveillance systems, and respond to incidents promptly and professionally.

Your role will involve enforcing hospital policies, assisting with emergency situations, and providing support to hospital staff as needed.

Key Responsibilities Conduct regular patrols to ensure the security of all hospital areas.

Monitor security cameras and alarms to identify potential security risks.

Respond to emergencies, including medical emergencies and security breaches.

Assist with the management of access control systems and visitor management procedures.

Collaborate with hospital staff and local law enforcement agencies as necessary.

Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and staff members.

Requirements Essential:

Applicants with prior security, law enforcement, or military experience are preferred.

Clear DBS standard level clearance.

Hold an SIA Licence Full 5 years address history

Full 5 years work or education history.

Preferred:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Clear written communications skills

Knowledge of security procedures and protocols

Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.

Additional training in security or related fields is a plus.

Display customer-focused behaviour

Demonstrate respect, flexibility, and confidence.

Awareness of healthcare environment sensitivities.

Making a difference by contributing to the safety and well-being of patients and staff.

Basic IT Literacy , Including confidence using Computers , emails and security systems

Ability to write clear , accurate reports and incident logs
