Mobile Electrician - Travel Required
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrician to join our team in a full-time, permanent role. This is a mobile position, requiring travel across the West & East Midlands and occasionally wider UK locations. The successful candidate will carry out a mix of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), reactive works, and electrical installations across both commercial and domestic properties.
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours:
Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm (40 hours per week)
Salary: £37,000 - £40,000

Key Responsibilities
Carry out Planned & Reactive Electrical Maintenance across multiple sites
Complete electrical installations in commercial and domestic environments
Perform EICR testing, 1 & 3 phase power installations, and LED lighting upgrades
Attend breakdowns, diagnose faults, and complete repairs efficiently
Provide accurate assessments when additional works are required
Communicate clearly with customers when follow-up visits are needed
Ensure all tasks comply with current electrical codes, standards, and site rules
Maintain a cost-effective approach when sourcing materials
Keep all mandatory training and competencies up to date
Complete all job-related documentation accurately and promptly
Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment to a safe and clean standard
Support management and liaise with clients to ensure work is completed correctly
Actively identify additional work opportunities when appropriate
Participate in the emergency call-out rota (1 in 6-8 weeks)
Candidate Requirements
Minimum 5 years' industry experience in electrical installations
Strong electrical knowledge across both domestic and commercial settings
Excellent understanding of BSIET Wiring Regulations)
Experience with electrical testing and inspection
Strong understanding of Health & Safety and safe-working methods
Self-motivated, detail-focused, and able to work independently or in a team
Flexible to travel to multiple sites and undertake overtime when required
Able to communicate effectively with customers, tenants, and colleagues
Full clean UK driving licence
Essential Qualifications
City & Guilds Level 3 - Electrical Installations (BS 7671:2018)
City & Guilds Testing & Inspection

Paid door-to-door (minus 30 min travel + 1 hr lunch per day)
Overtime paid at time and a half
Call-out rota: £100 standby, £40 for first hour attended, remaining time at time and a half
