THE COMPANY:
We are currently working with a leading business, based in Birmingham, who are looking to recruit an experienced Security Engineer to join their team. This is a great opportunity to join a leading business that has been well established for over 20 years.

A salary of up to £40,000 (may be some flex DOE)26 days annual leave plus bank holidays.Company pension.Company van (for private use also).Monday to Friday working hours (8.30am – 5pm) with rota’d call outs (once every 8 weeks).THE CANDIDATE:
The right candidate will be an experienced Security Engineer with 18th Edition and City & Guild 2365. Experience in the installation and maintenance of security systems (including intruder alarms, CCTV, access control, fire alarms etc) is essential. Due to the nature of the business, the successful individual will be required to commute across the West and East Midlands on a daily basis (Birmingham, Coventry, Stoke, Leicester, Nottingham, Northampton, Worcestershire).
DUTIES INCLUDE:Install, test, and commission security systems, including intruder alarms, CCTV cameras, and access control systems.Ensure all installations comply with industry standards and local regulations (e.g., BS EN 50131, PD 6662).Conduct routine maintenance checks and troubleshoot security systems to ensure optimal performance.Diagnose faults efficiently and provide effective solutions to minimize system downtime.Stay updated on security regulations (e.g., GDPR, SSAIB, NSI) and ensure all work remains compliant.Advise clients on regulatory requirements and assist them with compliance when necessary.Communicate effectively with clients, providing clear instructions on system usage and maintenance.Offer ongoing technical support to clients to ensure system reliability and customer satisfaction.Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance, and service reports in line with company policies.Collaborate with project teams and mentor junior engineers by sharing technical expertise.Immediate interviews are taking place, so please do not delay in applying, should you be interested.
