We are recruiting as part of a partnership to deliver the Ladywood Constituency Neighbourhood Network Scheme as commissioned by Birmingham City Council. The Younger Adults Project Support Worker is responsible for the effective gathering and sharing of information from within the ward and more widely across the Ladywood Constituency and City Wide NNS.
You will be working in support of Younger Adults with disabilities through engagement with local community assets and organisations within the NNS; the role includes:

- Maintaining a community asset register/database of local assets and specialist support for citizens with additional needs.
- Engage community assets in the Constituency’s neighbourhood network scheme and broker contact, links and relationships with citizens, social workers, GPs and other practitioners.
- Work with and support local citizens, groups, and organisations to deliver activities that meet local priorities and address gaps in support for citizens with additional needs.
To be successful for this post:
- Experience working in a community setting with younger adults and/or vulnerable groups
- Understanding of the needs of different service users from different backgrounds and cultures
- Lived experience of deafness or hearing loss, and an understanding of the barriers faced by the Deaf community.
- To be organised, proactive, and able to work independently and as part of a team
