We are seeking a dedicated Locum Social Worker to join our team in Birmingham. To deliver statutory social work duties under the Children Act, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. You will carry out high-quality assessments, develop effective care plans, and provide interventions that ensure children are safe, supported, and able to thrive.

Undertake timely and thorough assessments of children in need, children at risk, and those in care.

Develop and implement robust care and protection plans in partnership with families and professionals.

Identify and act on safeguarding concerns in accordance with statutory responsibilities and Birmingham Children’s Trust policies.

Manage a caseload of varying complexity, prioritising effectively based on risk and need.

Work in partnership with schools, healthcare professionals, police, voluntary organisations, and other agencies.

Participate in supervision, reflective practice, and ongoing training to maintain and develop professional standards.
