Job Title:
Housing Support Officer

Pay: £13.50 per hour
- Provide person‑centred support to adults experiencing homelessness and complex needs (including mental health, substance misuse, offending history, or dual diagnosis).
- Complete comprehensive support assessments and develop tailored support plans.
- Maintain and regularly review support packs and case records in line with organisational and regulatory standards.
- Conduct property visits, compliance checks, and welfare checks.
- Support tenants with tenancy sustainment, budgeting, accessing benefits, and developing independent living skills.
- Liaise with external agencies and professionals (e.g., local authorities, mental health services, probation, and healthcare providers).
- Safeguard vulnerable adults and report concerns appropriately.
- Maintain accurate, confidential records and complete required reports.
- Work in accordance with organisational policies, health and safety regulations, and safeguarding procedures.
- Participate in team meetings, training, and supervision.
- Lone working in the community as required.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working with vulnerable adults, homelessness services, or complex needs.
- Experience in support planning and risk assessments.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries.
- Ability to manage a caseload independently.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- IT literacy (case management systems, Microsoft Office).
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (if required for the role).
- Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
- Knowledge of housing legislation and tenancy management.
- Experience working in supported accommodation or floating support services.
- £13.50 per hour
- 25 hours per week (flexible working pattern may be considered)
