We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our Adult Safeguarding team in Birmingham. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable adults within our community. As a Social Worker, you will engage with service users, assess their needs, and develop tailored support plans that promote independence and safeguard their rights.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of adults at risk and formulating intervention strategies.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic support for service users.
  • Implementing safeguarding procedures and protocols in line with local and national legislation.
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential case records, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Providing support and guidance to families and carers, empowering them to assist in the care of vulnerable adults.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized Social Work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience in adult safeguarding and working with vulnerable populations.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound judgments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to advocacy and empowerment.
