Position

Senior Social Worker – Grade D

Salary: £45,091 – £53,460

Consultation grade: subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review

Hours: 36.5 per week

About the Role

We are recruiting three permanent Senior Social Workers to join the Hodge Hill and Yardley Assessment Social Work Team. The role involves working with adults over the age of 18 and making a difference to the lives of residents in the Hodge Hill and Yardley areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead improvement of professional social work practice and manage complex casework.
  • Provide technical expertise, coaching, and mentoring to other social workers.
  • Ensure adherence to legislation, standards, and departmental policies.
  • Identify and systematically review service needs.
  • Plan and deliver appropriate adult care services, exploring innovative and radical approaches.
  • Support the effective operation and development of Adult's Social Care to achieve statutory duties and positive outcomes for adults in Birmingham.
