Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and organise a caseload of children requiring planned or emergency placements into residential, fostering or supported accommodation provisions.
  • Maintain effective and concise case recording and update information systems relating to placements.
  • Negotiate appropriate levels of service provision considering best value principles and promote good working relationships with internal and external professionals.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Familiar with legislation and guidance governing the placements of children in care; preferably a social worker, residential worker or previous safeguarding role.
  • Proficient in IT, able to interrogate multiple applications, multi‑task and work under pressure.
  • Experience with the Trust’s main operating system – Eclipse – would be beneficial.
Working Conditions & Requirements
  • Hybrid role based in Birmingham; requires presence in the office when needed.
  • Must reside within a commutable distance around Birmingham and possess right‑to‑work documents; sponsorship not provided.
  • Participation in a duty system is required.
