We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Helpline Practitioner to join a specialist safeguarding team, providing expert advice and support to professionals, carers, families, and members of the public.

ResponsibilitiesProvide safeguarding advice and guidance to a diverse range of service users.
Assess contacts and collaborate with Duty Managers to determine appropriate actions.
Process referrals and ensure information is shared with relevant agencies within required timescales.
Maintain accurate, detailed case records in line with safeguarding procedures and standards.
Work closely with external agencies to support effective child protection outcomes.
Contribute to service development, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
Promote equality, diversity, inclusion, and children's rights in all aspects of your work.
Support colleagues and volunteers to deliver high-quality services.
QualificationsA relevant safeguarding qualification in Social Care, Health, Education, Law Enforcement, Youth Justice, Youth Work, Counselling, or a related field.
Post-qualification experience with responsibility for safeguarding children, young people, or families.
Strong knowledge of childcare legislation, safeguarding frameworks, and current best practice.
Experience providing advice and support via telephone and written communication.
Excellent analytical and assessment skills with the ability to record information accurately and concisely.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
