Children’s Social Worker – SeniorAs a Senior Children’s Social Worker you will safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people across Birmingham. You will work closely with families, carers and other professionals to assess needs, develop care plans, and provide ongoing support. You will also develop robust partnerships with police, health, schools and voluntary organisations, and work within the Children with Disabilities Service, supporting children throughout their journey with social care.
This is a hybrid, permanent, full‑time role located at Lifford House, Stirchley. You must be a resident of the Birmingham area and possess the right‑to‑work in the UK; we do not sponsor.
About You- Degree in Social Work (including completion of ASYE)
- Registration with Social Work England
- Extensive experience working with children and families in a social work setting
- Strong assessment and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of good social work practice to support and guide others
- Strong organisation and time‑management skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
- Salary plus an incentive payment of £1,000
- Retention payment of up to £5,000 per annum (subject to tax and NI deductions – T&C’s apply)
- Annual leave package of 30 days (plus bank holidays), increasing to 33 days after 5 years and 35 days after 10 years
