Senior Social Worker

We have a fantastic new opportunity for an experienced Social Worker to join our team as a Senior Social Worker. This hybrid role is based in Birmingham and requires living within a commutable distance of the city. You will play a crucial role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, working closely with families, carers and other professionals to assess needs, develop care plans and provide ongoing support.

Ofsted rating: Birmingham Children’s Trust was rated “Good” in the 2023 inspection.

About You
  • Qualified Social Worker registered with SWE.
  • Post‑qualified experience and completion of the ASYE programme.
  • Experience working within a social work setting.
  • Ability to provide an outstanding service to all children and carers placed within our service.
  • Strong analytical court reporting skills and ability to meet strict court timescales.
  • Initiative, interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with colleagues.
  • Solid understanding of safeguarding, fostering legislation and relevant regulations.
  • Analytical, evidence‑based assessment and report‑writing abilities.

  • Salary plus £1,000 incentive payment.
  • Retention payment up to £5,000 per annum (subject to tax and NI).
