The NASUWT is the leading trade union representing teachers and school leaders throughout the UK. We are seeking a Member Support Advisor to join the Member Support Services Team. The role provides advice, information and guidance to teachers on a wide range of employment and membership matters, through a busy telephone advice line and via email. You will work flexibly on a rota, covering hours between 8:00 am – 6:30 pm as required by the service.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide telephone and email support to members.
• Respond to enquiries regarding employment law, terms and conditions, and membership.
• Maintain accurate records of member interactions.
• Collaborate with team members to improve service quality.

Qualifications and experience:

• Knowledge of employment law or teachers’ terms and conditions.
• Commitment to the values and ethos of trade unions.
• Outstanding member care skills.
• Experience in providing telephone advice and guidance within a legal or employment context.

• Competitive salary (£41,864 rising to £47,656).
• 35 hours per week.
• Hybrid working base in Rednal, Birmingham.
