Children's SSW - Child Protection Inquiry Team

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments, developing and implementing intervention plans, and ensuring the safety and well‑being of children in need.

• Conducting initial assessments and ongoing evaluations of children and families.
• Collaborating with multi‑agency partners to safeguard children and promote their welfare.
• Preparing detailed reports and documentation for court proceedings and case reviews.
• Providing support and guidance to families, helping them access necessary resources and services.
• Participating in regular team meetings and contributing to the continuous improvement of practice within the team.

• A recognised Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
• Registered with Social Work England.
• Experience working in child protection or safeguarding, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and policies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with a commitment to achieving positive outcomes for children and families.
