Children's SW - Family Team

Join our dedicated Family Team in Birmingham as a Children’s Social Worker, where you will play a vital role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and families in need. In this position, you will work collaboratively with families, local agencies, and community partners to ensure the best outcomes for children. Your expertise will help to assess needs, develop intervention plans, and provide ongoing support to vulnerable families.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify strengths and areas for improvement.
• Developing and implementing care plans that are tailored to individual family needs.
• Maintaining accurate and comprehensive case records in compliance with local and national guidelines.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies to ensure holistic support.
• Providing guidance and support to families, empowering them to make positive changes.
• Participating in court proceedings and providing evidence as required.

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

• A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
• Registered with Social Work England.
• Experience in children’s social work, particularly within a family support context.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse families.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a commitment to safeguarding children.
