Delta.g is a UK quantum technology company developing gravity sensing tools that unlock real-time spatial intelligence. Our sensors allow users to see what lies beneath the surface of the Earth using gravity alone, revealing hidden sinkholes, old mine workings, and buried infrastructure without digging. Spun out of the University of Birmingham, our technology is new, powerful, and close to commercial deployment.

We have just raised £4.6 million in investment led by Serendipity Capital, NSSIF, and SCVC, and are scaling rapidly. We are building our team in partnership with Reedmace Talent, experts in helping tech companies scale through in‑house hiring. We do not use recruitment agencies, we hire directly.

• Salary:
  Circa £60,000-£75,000 basic salary (Negotiable)

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our technical department, focusing on software infrastructure development, bug fixing, maintenance, and new feature introduction. You will work closely with the team to optimise system performance and ensure the successful completion of projects.

• Location Commitment:
  Must be willing and able to work in office in Birmingham.
• Startup Adaptability:
  Must thrive in a fast‑paced, growing startup; hands‑on problem‑solving is essential.
• Strong Documentation & Version Control:
  Must be proficient in Git‑based workflows, documentation best practices, and code tracking.

• Expert‑level, modern C++ (ver 17 onwards), Python, and SQL coding skills.
• Proficiency with microservices architecture (Microsoft Azure).
• Experience with embedded Linux kernel programming.
• Full‑stack development expertise (front‑end & back‑end).
• CI/CD pipeline implementation & optimisation.
• Testing frameworks:
  Selenium, TDD, Xray, Zephyr Scale, Cucumber.
• Root‑cause analysis & debugging proficiency.
