Cloud Architect

Cloud Architect. Hybrid working (1 day per 3 months in the office). Technologies:
Azure, Azure Dev Ops, Docker, Terraform, Bash, Packer, Ansible.

We’re looking for an experienced and forward‑thinking Azure Cloud Architect to play a critical role in shaping the infrastructure that underpins our high‑stakes, high‑volume SaaS products. In this role, you’ll drive the design of robust, scalable, and secure Azure‑based architectures, ensuring our platforms meet the highest standards of performance, availability, and cost‑efficiency. You’ll work closely with Product Architects and engineering teams to turn complex concepts into practical, world‑class infrastructure solutions.

This is an opportunity to influence architectural direction, champion best practices, and contribute to the ongoing evolution of our cloud platform strategy.

• Lead the design of secure, performant, and supportable Azure infrastructure architectures
• Contribute to and evolve reference architectures and reusable design patterns
• Translate business and product requirements into scalable and resilient technical solutions
• Embed observability, resilience, and security by design

• Collaborate closely with Product Architects to shape and challenge design decisions
• Provide expert guidance to ensure solutions are robust, cost‑effective, and supportable
• Ensure architectural consistency and alignment with best practice

• Design cloud‑native solutions within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem, including AKS and distributed application platforms
• Ensure designs are scalable, highly available, and cost‑optimised
• Enable strong cost governance and reporting capabilities

• Work closely with engineering teams, development leads, and technical architects
• Ensure infrastructure changes align with standards, processes, and a customer‑first mindset
• Support project teams through the full lifecycle, from design through to delivery

• Drive adoption of modern infrastructure tooling and automation practices
• Influence and improve architectural standards and ways of working
• Share knowledge and mentor others within the team

• Deep expertise in the Microsoft Azure ecosystem, including AKS and distributed systems
• Strong understanding of security, IAM, networking, and database architecture
• Proven experience designing and troubleshooting complex, distributed systems
• Experience supporting high‑scale SaaS platforms in production environments

• Hands‑on experience with Azure Dev Ops, Docker, Terraform, Bash, Packer, Ansible
• Strong understanding of infrastructure‑as‑code and automation principles

• Excellent collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical thinking
• Ability to balance technical excellence with business impact and cost considerations
