Position: HGV Class 1 Day Driver
CLASS 1 DRIVER WORKING DAYS BETWEEN MONDAY - SUNDAY: START TIMES 04:00 - 08:00 £ 16.00 - £18.75 PER HOUR People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in the MINWORTH, WEST MIDLANDS. Basic Days: £16.00 per Hour Basic Nights: £ 17.00 per Hour Saturday: £ 17.50 per hour Sunday: £ 18.75 per Hour Day to Day Duties Your duties as a Class 1 Driver will involve but not be limited to: RDC Deliveries no handball (working on curtain-side) Operate and drive various Class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly Adhere to traffic laws and regulations Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management Assist with loaded and unloading of cargo as needed Essential Skills As a Class 1 Driver you will need to:
Hold a valid UK Category CE Licence Have a minimum of six months experience driving CE vehicles No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes Have a valid UK CPC Card and UK Digi Card Must be able to speak and read a good level of English Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations Effective communication skills
