Pertemps are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to join one of the UK’s leading automotive logistics operations.

Whether you’re looking for full-time or part-time work, we have ongoing opportunities available year-round across day, afternoon and night shifts, with optional weekend work and excellent overtime rates.

This is a clean and professional role within the automotive sector, offering stable, long-term work with no handball involved.

What You’ll Be Doing

Local delivery and collection of automotive parts
Sequenced deliveries from manufacturing facilities into production plants
Occasional deliveries to suppliers and manufacturing sites
Working shifts between 8–12 hours
Flexible start times depending on shift preference

Guaranteed minimum 9 hours paid per shift

PAYE Rates

Days (06:00–18:00): £15.95 per hour
Nights (18:00–06:00): £19.26 per hour
Overtime after 8 hours: £23.91 – £26.95 per hour
Weekend rates up to £30.80 per hour

Increased pay rates available after 12 months service.

Driver Requirements

Minimum 6 months Class 1 (C+E) experience
Must have held Class 1 licence for at least 2 years
Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
Maximum 6 points for minor offences
Assessment Process

Successful drivers will complete:

Written assessment on Drivers’ Hours and Tachograph regulations
Site induction and safe systems of work briefing
Vehicle familiarisation
Practical driving assessment
