HGV Class 1 Driver – Birmingham, West Midlands People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver – Birmingham, West Midlands to join our well-established client based in Birmingham, West Midlands . This role would also suit candidates who have previously worked as an LGV Class 1 Driver, CE Driver, Tramper Driver, HGV Driver, or Class 1 Trunking Driver. Shifts Night Shifts
• Monday to Friday
• One in four Sundays required
• Start times between 16:00 – 17:00

• Long-term Career Opportunities Day-to-Day Duties As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):
• Completing Class 1 trunking work to regional distribution centres and customer locations
• Carrying out up to a maximum of three drops per shift to known destinations
• Operating Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently
• Conducting pre- and post-shift vehicle inspections
• Ensuring all goods are loaded and secured correctly before transport
• Adhering to all UK traffic laws and transport regulations
• Communicating effectively with the transport office and site teams
• Reporting vehicle defects or maintenance issues promptly
• Assisting with loading and unloading when required
• Completing all delivery paperwork and documentation accurately Essential Skills As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:
• A valid UK Category CE Driving Licence
• A minimum of 12 months' Class 1 driving experience
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences
• No major endorsement codes
• A valid CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
• Good spoken and written English
• Excellent punctuality and timekeeping skills
• A strong understanding of UK road traffic laws and drivers' hours regulations
• Good communication and professional driving skills

Desirable Experience
• Previous Class 1 trunking or RDC delivery experience would be advantageous
• Previous experience working night shifts within a transport environment Training Provided
