HGV Class 2 Trade Waste Driver

About The Role

Panda Waste is a leading waste management provider dedicated to driving sustainability forward. We are currently hiring an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our Birmingham team.

• Shift Pattern:
  Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays on a rotational basis.
• Start Time: 4-5 (AM) daily.
• Pay & Benefits:
  Weekly salary with paid breaks included.

• Vehicle Operation:
  Safely drive and operate HGV Class 2 vehicles for commercial waste collection.
• Service Delivery:
  Complete efficient collection routes and ensure customer sites are left tidy.
• Data Management:
  Weigh bins and accurately record collection data using an on-board tablet.
• Maintenance:
  Conduct daily vehicle safety checks and report any incidents or defects promptly.
• Compliance:
  Strictly adhere to waste management regulations, drivers’ hours, and the Working Time Directive.

• Valid UK HGV Class 2 licence with current Driver CPC.
• Digital tachograph card.
• Physical Fitness:
  The role involves manual handling of waste containers.
• Customer Focus:
  Strong communication skills and a professional manner.
• Flexibility:
  Willingness to work occasional Saturdays as required.

• Competitive Pay:
  • PM Shift: £15.59 per hour base rate.
• Performance Bonuses:
  Earn an additional 8p per bin collected.
• Security:
  Weekly pay and a stable, purpose-driven career.

You are a safety-focused driver with excellent knowledge of the Birmingham area. You take pride in your work, can operate independently, and remain resilient and diligent in a fast-paced environment.
