Pay: £16.03 per hour

We are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Shunter Driver / Vehicle Washer to join a busy transport depot in Birmingham. This is a full-time, ongoing opportunity for a reliable and safety‑conscious individual who enjoys working as part of a team.

This position combines depot shunting duties with vehicle cleaning and general depot support. You will be responsible for safely moving vehicles around the depot while ensuring the fleet is clean, presentable, and ready for service.

• Safely manoeuvre HGV vehicles around the depot yard.
• Park vehicles in designated bays for loading, servicing, and fuelling.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety inspections and report any defects.
• Couple and uncouple trailers where required.
• Move vehicles to and from maintenance and fuelling areas.
• Operate vehicle wash facilities to clean the exterior of the fleet.
• Clean vehicle interiors, including cabs, as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and tidy wash bay and depot area.
• Replenish vehicle supplies where applicable.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and site regulations.

• Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category
  
  C) licence.
• Driver CPC qualification.
• Digital Tachograph card.
• Previous shunting or HGV driving experience is desirable.
• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Strong awareness of health and safety procedures.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.

• £16.03 per hour.
• Monday to Friday working pattern.
• 6:00am to 2:00pm shifts.
