Logistics Coordinator

Overview

Due to business growth, our client, an established Freight Forwarder, is currently looking to appoint an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join their team in Birmingham.

• Managing import, export and cross trade shipments end to end including pricing.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, overseas agents and suppliers.
• Inputting and updating data on Cargo Wise operating system.
• Organising timely deliveries for customers.
• Checking and processing invoices for payment and liaising with accounts team.
• Resolving any transportation issues that may arise within a timely manner.
• Ensuring compliance with shipping documents and customs requirements.

Candidate should have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, as well as excellent organisational and communication skills, be able to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment, work under pressure and to deadlines. We’re keen to speak to logistics / freight forwarding professionals who have 2+ years experience and a good understanding of CDS / Incoterms. Knowledge of Cargo Wise operating and customs system would also be an advantage.

This is a full-time, permanent position, based in Birmingham, with on-site parking available.

Salary: up to £30,000 in line with skills and experience.
