Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 2:00pm

Smart Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Shunter / Jet Wash Operative to join a busy depot in Birmingham.

This is a varied role combining HGV Class 2 shunting duties with vehicle cleaning and depot support. You'll be responsible for safely moving vehicles around the depot, carrying out daily vehicle checks, and ensuring the fleet is clean, presentable, and ready for operation.

• Safely move HGV Class 2 vehicles, refuse collection vehicles, and other fleet vehicles around the depot.
• Position vehicles in parking areas, workshops, and maintenance bays.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety and defect checks.
• Operate high-pressure jet wash equipment to clean commercial vehicles.
• Clean and sanitise vehicle cabs and interiors.
• Report any vehicle defects or damage identified during inspections.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised wash bay and depot area.
• Support the workshop and transport teams with vehicle preparation.

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category
  
  C) driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous experience driving HGV Class 2 vehicles.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• £16.03 per hour.
• Monday to Friday working pattern.
• Day shifts: 6:00am - 2:00pm.
• Weekly pay.
• Ongoing, full-time work.
