HGV Class 2 Driver

HGV Class 2 Driver – 18T Curtain Side – Self-Employed
ABM Express Ltd is looking for a reliable and professional Self-Employed HGV Class 2 Driver to drive an 18T curtain-side vehicle.
The role involves general haulage, collections and deliveries across the UK. Nights out will be required depending on the workload and delivery locations.
Pay:
 * £180 per day
 
* Self-employed position
 
* The daily rate includes any required nights out
 
* Weekly payments
Main duties:
 
* Driving an 18T curtain-side vehicle safely and professionally
 
* Completing collections and deliveries across the UK
 
* Carrying out daily vehicle checks
 
* Securing loads correctly
 
* Completing delivery paperwork and obtaining PODs
 
* Keeping in contact with the transport office regarding deliveries, delays or issues
 
* Following Drivers’ Hours, Working Time and tachograph regulations
 
* Reporting vehicle defects promptly
 
* Taking reasonable care of the vehicle and equipment
Requirements:
 
* 5 Years of Full UK Category C / Class 2 licence
 
* Valid Driver CPC
 
* Valid Digital Tachograph Card
 
* Good knowledge of UK roads
 
* Previous HGV driving experience preferred
 
* Curtain-side experience preferred
 
* Good understanding of load securing
 
* Reliable and punctual
 
* Professional attitude with customers
 
* Comfortable with nights out when required
As this is a self-employed position, the driver will be responsible for their own tax and National Insurance obligations.
We are looking for someone dependable who can work independently, communicate well and look after the vehicle.
