HGV Class 2 Driver - Castle Vale

People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 2 Drivers to join our client's growing transport operation in Castle Vale and the surrounding areas.

This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced drivers who are looking for stability, excellent earning potential and long-term progression within a well-established logistics operation.

This would suit applicants who have worked as an LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver or Truck Driver.

• £15.79 per hour Monday to Friday
• £23.68 per hour after qualifying hours and weekends (where applicable)

• Monday to Saturday
• Daily start times between 7:00am and 11:00am
• Ongoing work available
• Flexibility required to meet business needs

Your duties as an HGV Class 2 Driver are:

• Safely operate and drive Category C vehicles to and from delivery locations
• Deliver household items and bedroom products to customers' homes alongside a Driver's Mate
• Complete loading and unloading duties accurately and safely
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects
• Adhere to all road traffic legislation and company procedures
• Maintain accurate delivery records and associated paperwork
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams, customers and site staff
• Complete multi-drop deliveries in a professional manner
• Handball goods as part of the delivery process

To be successful as an HGV Class 2 Driver
, you will need:

• A valid UK Category C Driving Licence
• A valid CPC Card
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences
• No IN, DR, DD or CD endorsement codes
• Good communication and customer service skills
• A professional and reliable attitude
• A strong understanding of road safety and compliance requirements
• The ability to work effectively with a Driver's Mate
• The ability to complete physically demanding duties including handballing
