Job Overview
In the role of Warehouse Operative at Supply Technologies, you will be integral to both warehouse operations and logistics. Your duties will encompass a wide range of tasks including handling goods in and out, picking and packing orders, maintaining inventory control and safely operating warehouse machinery like forklifts. This position is vital for maintaining the high standards of warehouse operations and ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of products to our customers.
Responsibilities- Efficiently pick, pack, wrap, label, and prepare orders for delivery or collection according to schedule.
- Accurately receive, label, and store incoming goods, ensuring alignment with inventory systems.
- Oversee goods-in and goods-out processes, maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery safely and competently, following all safety guidelines.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and stocktakes, maintaining up-to-date records in the warehouse management system.
- Maintain high quality standards to support audit readiness and business compliance.
- Review and verify delivery notes for accuracy before dispatch.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment, adhering to housekeeping standards and optimising space usage.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or issues with goods or warehouse operations promptly.
- Monitor and report the condition of warehouse vehicles and equipment, advising when maintenance or repairs are required.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimise warehouse and logistics operations.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to balance workload and meet deadlines.
- Wear the company uniform at all times, ensuring it is clean and presentable.
- Comply with all procedures, regulations, and safety standards, and participate in relevant training and development.
- Assist in onboarding and training new warehouse staff to ensure consistent performance and understanding of procedures.
- Perform general warehouse duties as required by the business or management.
- Efficient with Excel and other Microsoft programs.
- Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods.
- Knowledge of fasteners and fixing advantageous, but not essential.
- A current UK driving license, no more than 6 penalty points.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to lift heavy objects.
