At St Mary’s Kenmure, we support children and young people who have experienced significant adversity to feel safe, understood and able to move forward positively. Our work is rooted in strong relationships, trauma-informed practice and a shared commitment to providing care that is consistent, thoughtful and responsive to individual need.

St Mary’s Kenmure is a secure care and education service delivering care within a structured, safe and nurturing environment. We work closely with young people, families and partners to support positive change and improve outcomes in both the short and longer term.

We are recruiting a number of Senior Residential Practitioners to newly created roles within the organisation. These posts are being introduced to strengthen daily practice, provide consistent leadership on shift and further improve outcomes for young people.

As a Senior Residential Practitioner, you will work directly alongside young people in their day-to-day lives, building trusting relationships and providing care that is attuned, responsive and grounded in an understanding of trauma and development.

Alongside this, you will provide leadership within the team - offering guidance, coaching and reflective support to colleagues to ensure that care remains thoughtful, consistent and aligned to agreed approaches.

You will play a key role in helping translate care plans into everyday practice, supporting colleagues to respond confidently in complex and emotionally demanding situations, and contributing to an environment that is calm, safe and supportive for both young people and staff.

We are looking for experienced practitioners who can lead in practice, model strong relational care and support others to develop their skills.

This is an opportunity to step into a role that combines direct care, leadership and influence - helping to shape practice and strengthen our service as we continue to develop.

If you feel that this is the challenge you have been waiting for and you want to join a team of professional and caring people, please refer to our advert on My Job Scotland
