Overview

4myschools is working with a welcoming and forward‑thinking secondary school in the Bishops Stortford area who are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Business Studies Teacher to join their dedicated team. Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging Business Studies lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially KS5), ensuring that all students are motivated and challenged to achieve their full potential. You will assess and monitor pupil progress, differentiate lessons to meet a range of abilities including those with special educational needs, and contribute to the development of schemes of work.

As part of your role, you will foster an inclusive classroom environment, manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies, and actively participate in departmental meetings and wider school initiatives. You will also be expected to maintain accurate records of student performance and provide constructive feedback to support academic development.

Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or significant experience teaching Business Studies within a secondary school setting.
  • Minimum qualification of GCSE grade 4/C in English and Maths.
  • Strong classroom management skills, excellent communication and ability to adapt teaching strategies to support students with varying learning needs, including SEN.
  • Availability to work Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm during term time and a commitment to a long‑term placement.
