Job Description: Teaching Assistant/Learning Support Assistant
-Permanent

Pay grade: £26,016 per annum FTE (Pay will be pro-rata for 18.75 hrs/wk, term time only) | Grade H2 Point 4

Hours: Monday to Wednesday, 8:30am to 3:15pm (We are open to discussing alternative schedules for the right candidate)

Responsible to: Headteacherand Class Teacher

Purpose ofthe Role: To work with teachers to support teaching and learning, providing general and specific assistance to staff, pupils and individual pupils under the direction, guidance and direct supervision of classroom teacher.

Responsibilities:

Work with individualsor small groups of pupils in the classroom under the direct supervision of teaching staff and provide feedback to the teacher.

Lead focused intervention sessions to reinforce key concepts.

Support pupils to understand instructions support independent learning and inclusion of allpupils.

Observe pupils during tasks, record their understanding and sticking points, and offer real-time feedback during lessons.

Support the teacher in positive behaviour management and keeping pupils on task.

Support pupils insocial and emotional well-being.

Prepare and help organise the learning environment and resources, including photocopying, filingand the display and presentation of pupils' work and contribute to maintaininga safe environment.

Teachings Assistants in this role may also undertake some or all the following:

Record basic pupildata.

Assist with breaktimeand lunch-time supervision including facilitat...

Assist with escorting pupils on educational visits.

Support pupils inusing basic IT.

Administration oftests and assessments.

Assist pupils wit heating, dressing and hygiene, as required, whilst encouraging independence.
